At Warnemunde Beach in Germany, your own Strandkorb holds your spot of real estate on the Baltic Sea. A Strandkorb is somewhat a beach basket for you to sit in with all of the comforts of lounging at the beach.
The beach baskets have their own awning to shade you from the sun. I can see customizing these with a beautiful Sunbrella fabric in different valance styles (You knew I needed to make this about window treatments somehow)
Some of the baskets close up and have secure storage underneath. Strandkorb were invented for comfort at the beach while protecting from the sun and strong Baltic winds.
A small bag with snacks and drinks is all you need for an afternoon at the beach.
