Where Would You Rather Watch Super Bowl 49?

It’s Super Bowl Sunday.  East meets west as the New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks. I’ve been glued to the TV all afternoon watching the pregame hype. The colors of the teams have inspired me to design a room that any true fan from each team would watch the game in.

How To Arrange Your Family Room To Feel Warm And Cozy

So many homes I go into have their furniture arranged the same was as the day they moved in. “How do you feel about the sofa being against the wall and the chair over in this corner.” I ask Typically the client answers “I know it doesn’t work but they’re there because I had no idea how else to arrange the room.” It’s a good thing when a client realizes they need to consult a professional.

Set Your Thanksgiving Table Like You Were Decorating A Room

    Thanksgiving Table Decorating

Your dining room table is like an empty room waiting to be decorated with style and taste.

  • The tablecloth is the backdrop.  I prefer a solid damask instead of a busy print.  Food is more appealing against a solid.
  • Your dishes are the main pieces of “furniture”. Every piece does not have to match.

Ah no, say it isn’t so, Labor Day is fast approaching, signaling the end of summer. The sun is setting earlier and the nights are a bit cooler. Although I love the changing seasons, I’ll dig my toes a little deeper into the sand to hold onto summer as long as I can.

The dreams of a 7 years old

Growing up the baby sister to two brothers left me lots of time for imaginative girl play.  Two things I recall doing was playing house (I made floor plans by raking pine needles into blue print style rooms) and playing with baby dolls. I was about seven when I declared that I would one day have a doll named Amy.
